                              ANNUAL GOLF DAY
14th hole - Dainton Park Golf Club
After a gap of three years we again visited the fine Dainton Park for our annual tournament. Seventeen golfers took part in excellent if tiring weather on a course in lovely condition. Andrew Ramsay-Beattie won the trophy for his first time with 35 points. Andrew beat George Gordon on a countback, and Robert Harland took 3rd place with 33 points. Margaret Barber earned the coveted Quaich, and it was no surprise that Andrew Ramsay-Beattie won Longest Drive on the 14th hole. We had six ladies taking part this year, and Lorna Gordon's 33 points gave her the prize for Best Lady score of the day. Another fifteen members then joined the golfers on the club terrace as we shared our scorecard excuses, before all of us enjoyed the popular dinner and prize giving in the clubhouse restaurant.          2010 ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING
The AGM was held on Friday 21st May with a good attendance. Nominations for the offices of President, Vice President, Secretary, Membership Secretary and  Committee members were voted on. Stewart McKinlay and Jim Dowie were re elected unopposed to  their current positions and following Terry Carter's decision not to seek re-election, Sandy Garrity has been elected to serve on the Committee. An important change to the Constitution was also adopted, to allow affiliated members to become eligible for office, with the exception of the positions of  Vice President and President.
